Moving seats
Move a paid seat to a free one, and as staff give a seat back to a ticket that lost its seat to a double sale.
You move people, not tickets
This page moves a paid seat to a different chair. Click the seat someone is sitting in, then click a free seat, then Confirm Move. The ticket, the order and what was paid stay exactly as they were. Only the chair changes.
The target must be free. Disabled seats can't be picked, and a seat reserved for another guild is shown dimmed and refuses the click.
Who can move what
Staff and admins can move any seat at the event. A leader of an approved guild can open this page too, but can only move seats held by members of a guild they lead. Everyone else's seats are dimmed. Leading a guild that has not been approved yet gives no access at all.
Some paid tickets have no seat
When two orders pay for the same seat, the second one is not lost. The order stays paid and the ticket stays valid, but it is kept without a seat and flagged for staff to reseat. That can happen at checkout, when an upgrade lands on a seat that has just sold, when a refunded order is restored after its seat was resold, or from the duplicate sales found when seat uniqueness was switched on.
Staff and admins see those tickets in the Unseated tickets card under the chart. Pick a free seat for each one and press Assign. The list only offers seats that are on the chart, not disabled or set aside, and not sold or held in someone's cart. The seat is checked again when you press Assign, so a seat that was sold a moment ago is refused rather than given out twice.
Assigning a seat does not email the buyer. If they need to know, tell them yourself. The original conflict stays on the ticket as history, and the change is written to the seat log and the audit log.
A seat you free with vacate does not show up in this card. Vacating is a choice you made, not a sale that went wrong.
When something is wrong
- The seat you picked is refused as taken. Someone bought or carted it after the list loaded. The list reloads, so pick another.
- A ticket you expected isn't in the card. It may have been refunded, already reseated, or vacated on purpose. Check the order in the ACP.
- There are no free seats. Free one with a move, or refund the ticket from the ACP instead.

These tickets are paid for but lost their seat to a double sale. Assigning a seat here does not email the buyer. Only free seats are offered, and a seat taken in the meantime is refused.
